How do you convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Multiply the Celsius value by 9/5 (1.8) and add 32: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. To convert back, subtract 32 and multiply by 5/9: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9.
Worked example
20 °C is 20 × 9/5 + 32 = 68 °F. Water boils at 100 °C = 212 °F and freezes at 0 °C = 32 °F; normal body temperature is 37 °C = 98.6 °F.
